I don’t know if you ever bothered to see the Tom Cruise/Emily Blunt sci-fi action flick Edge of Tomorrow, but if you missed out, you should make time for the stellar flick. I kept putting the film off myself, but then when I finally peeped the Groundhog Day-style shenanigans contained within, I was a fan […]

Take a Magical Ride in the Latest Look at Mary Poppins Returns

Disney has released a new image from Mary Poppins Returns, which showcases a ton of the new cast members having themselves what appears to be a very fun time. Disney has been a hit-making machine in recent years, the likes of which Hollywood has never seen. While doing a remake of the classic Mary Poppins would be downright blasphemous, they're doing the more acceptable but equally risky thing by releasing a sequel this Christmas. This new photo offers us a glimpse of what's in store.

The photo features some of the younger cast members from the sequel, alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda's character and Emily Blunt, who has the very difficult task of living up to Julie Andrews' legacy in Mary Poppins Returns. That said, this photo, and everything we've seen and heard for that matter, points to Blunt being perfect for the role. Her co-star Ben Whishaw seems to think so,

Doug Liman Still Game For Justice League Dark

Though the world is yet to lay eyes on a live-action rendition of Justice League Dark, a new interview conducted by Screen Rant reveals that Doug Liman could be the one to salvage the project from the brink of obscurity.

Liman, who is currently spearheading the development Edge of Tomorrow 2 (Aka Live Die Repeat and Repeat), sat down with Screen Rant to discuss Warner’s shelved title, one which centers on a ragtag group of anti-heroes comprised of Etrigan, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Deadman, and the chain-smoking Constantine.

It originally piqued the curiosity of Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy), who came attached to Justice League Dark circa 2013. In his short time with the live-action feature, del Toro developed a script that he was “super proud of,” before Joseph Kahn and later Doug Liman flirted with Jld. Turns out the latter is still very much interested in the proposition, as he revealed to

Edge Of Tomorrow 2 Might Happen Sooner Than Expected!

It's looking like the sequel to Edge of Tomorrow might actually happen a lot sooner than we thought. In a recent interview with Collider, director Doug Liman said that it very well could be his next film project!

Liman previously revealed that the film would be called Live Die Repeat and Repeat and he also said that he likes the story for the sequel more than the first film. He also explained that it would revolutionize how people make sequels. As of right now, he says they are frantically working on getting the script ready:

"We’re just working on the script… [We’re no longer working on scheduling issues], now it’s down to we have a window where we could go do it, and we’re frantically working on the script. It’s one of those movies that we’ll only go make if we love the script. It’s not one of those things where

Edge Of Tomorrow 2 Likely To Be Doug Liman’s Next Movie

Edge Of Tomorrow 2, otherwise known as Live Die Repeat and Repeat, is likely to be Doug Liman’s next project.

While out promoting his YouTube series Impulse, the director revealed that, barring some unforeseen change in circumstances, Edge of Tomorrow 2 will enter production sooner rather than later, as any previous scheduling issues have since been resolved.

Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are also locked in for the sequel – hence the original issues with scheduling, given Cruise and Blunt are two of the biggest stars in the business – while Liman has already teased that Edge of Tomorrow 2 is actually a prequel masquerading as a sequel.

Expect Blunt’s Sergeant Rita Vrataski (Aka the Angel of Verdun) to take center stage, then, as Doug Liman notes that the sequel’s script has now taken priority.

We’re just working on the script… [We’re no longer working on scheduling issues], now it’s down to we have a window where we could go do it,

Exclusive: Doug Liman Says ‘Edge of Tomorrow 2’ Could Be His Next Film
Hope remains for Edge of Tomorrow 2 to become an actual movie that happens, rather than a long-hoped-for sequel that never materializes. Director Doug Liman’s 2014 sci-fi actioner didn’t explode at the box office, but it earned high critical praise and grew its legion of fans once it hit home video, offering up a smart and refreshingly unique blockbuster that stood in direct contrast to the plainness of other big-budget fare. Liman, stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, and writer Christopher McQuarrie all expressed interest and desire to make a sequel, and while it’…

Edge of Tomorrow 2 Could Be Doug Liman’s Next Movie

Director Doug Liman hints that Live Die Repeat and Repeat, the in-development sequel to his Edge of Tomorrow, could be the next film he makes. The original movie was one of 2014’s most pleasant surprises, offering a fun sci-fi twist on the time loop formula. With strong performances from Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, Edge of Tomorrow earned widespread critical praise, but struggled at the box office due to Warner Bros.’ unconvincing marketing campaign. However, Edge of Tomorrow has earned quite the following in the years since its release, and it’s that passion that got the followup off the ground.

John Krasinski, Emily Blunt And Ansel Elgort Are The McU’s Fantastic Four On New Fan Art

It’s now 100% official – Disney has swallowed up 21st Century Fox, meaning the X-Men and Fantastic Four are within grasp of Marvel Studios. After Spider-Man came home not too long ago, these properties were virtually the only ones outside of the company’s reach. Now, the Marvel comics universe is extremely close to being whole on screen, and we couldn’t be more excited.

After all, when it comes to the Four, at least, Fox has never been able to figure things out. The 2005 movie and its sequel aimed to replicate the bright, all-ages tone of the comics and ended up skirting Batman & Robin levels of camp and cheese. Then, the 2015 reboot ended up being even worse by trying to “Nolanize” the characters but failing miserably. What Fox should have done is pitch the Four the same way that Marvel does all their properties: fun, accessible to everyone but grounded in character.

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: Sam Rockwell Leads ‘SNL’ Into The New Year With a Great Episode

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: Sam Rockwell Leads ‘SNL’ Into The New Year With a Great Episode
Saturday Night Live’ is back for 2018, and after a few much-needed weeks off, it looks like it’s got a renewed sense of focus. Though that could just be the Sam Rockwell talking.

Host: Sam Rockwell

Well, Sam Rockwell finally gave us something in his opening monologue that we were all deprived in his Golden Globe win: dancing. (Luckily, the Golden Globes win gave us his acknowledgment of how much he loves Leslie Bibb, so he didn’t need to try to sneak that in here. Though, it’s still not okay he didn’t dance at the Golden Globes.) The singing didn’t really need to happen — at all — but at least it all led to ninja fighting, old Hollywood “SNL” ladies, and Colin Jost getting “kicked” through a door. Oh, and the Rockwell splits. This number just couldn’t have ended without that old classic.

The Last Word on ‘The Girl on the Train’

Wow, look at that, Tate Taylor got off the s***list! I’ll be damned; didn’t see that one coming. I mean, this wasn’t great, and despite Taylor’s vast improvement over his previous films, there’s still quite a few directorial and editing decision that annoy and drive me crazy, but, yeah, I enjoyed ‘The Girl on the Train‘. Quite a lot actually, which surprised me a bit, ‘cause from what I gathered, the film was not particularly well-received overall. Even the ones who seem to be praising it, seems to be looking at the piece more as good entertainment as opposed to a good movie. Some credit the fact that the original book wasn’t particularly strong to begin with; I wouldn’t know, I haven’t read it, although I suspect it’s a good adaptation. And sure, it’s probably not great material, but
