Jason Alexander is getting the band back together! (No, not that band.)

At&T Audience Network has ordered 10 episodes of Hit the Road, starring Seinfeld‘s Alexander — who also created the series, along with Peter Tilden and Dean Craig — as Ken Swallow, the head of a “chaotically dysfunctional” family band.

Described as the “greatest family band you’ve never heard of (yet!),” the Swallows “traverse the country in a cramped tour bus sacrificing privacy, comfort and dignity while in search of fame and fortune.”

Gee, what could possibly go wrong there?

Chuck all of your perceptions about heroine-for-hire Yvonne Strahovski out the window before tuning into The Handmaid’s Tale.

In Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s dark, dystopian tale (premiering Wednesday), the actress co-stars as Commander Waterford’s (Joseph Fiennes) uncomfortably complicit wife Serena, a character Strahovski concedes is essentially “one of the bad guys.” And given the series’ eerily prescient theme of female oppression, the gig required the Chuck alum to take a massive acting leap.

In your life of channel-surfing, you’ve probably read a million TV listicles ranking the best and worst programs of the year, the decade, all-time. So have your friends at TVLine. (Bored now.) That’s why we’ve decided to flip the script and put a fresh — some might even say dark — spin on the convention by pitting the small screen’s most influential uber producers against, in essence, themselves, weighing Shonda Rhimes’ series strictly against one another, Greg Berlanti’s series strictly against one another, and so on.

But before you worry about Kara and Lena’s friendship getting derailed by this shady newcomer, allow Katie McGrath to ease your mind: “We’ve spent 18 episodes »

Did Silicon Valley just boot up its end game?

In Sunday’s Season 4 premiere, Richard announced that he was breaking away from his band(width) mates to pursue a solo career, armed with nothing by the Pied Piper name and his precious compression algorithm. What he didn’t divulge to his now-former cohorts is that he’s going off to create a brand new… Internet.

As leading man Thomas Middleditch speculates, Richard’s surprising move could be both a game-changer and a game-ender. “Regardless of how it plays out, it’s my hunch that the new Internet [gambit] is going to »

Warning: The following story features spoilers from this week’s The Leftovers. Proceed at your own peril.

In Sunday’s The Leftovers, exec producer Damon Lindelof rekindled his love affair with Perfect Strangers in a big way (read full recap here). Not only did the auteur bring the ’80s sitcom’s star, Mark Linn-Baker, back for a (far meatier) encore, but he played the comedy’s iconic theme music over the opening credits (and then reimagined it again later in the hour during Nora’s road trip).
